IHJ-149-IND - 10oz Selvedge Denim Blanket Lined Chore Jacket - Indigo
A new worker jacket cut will be added to the range for Fall/Winter '25, combining functionality with modern style.
Cut from 10 oz Japanese selvedge denim, it is lined with a recycled wool blanket to provide comfort and warmth. The denim has a darker look, reminiscent of the industrial denim uniforms common in the 1800s, because it is woven with a grey/blue weft yarn. The use of slub yarns in the weaving process emphasises this traditional aesthetic, creating a fabric that is designed to fade and evolve with vintage charm. The eco-friendly blanket lining is knitted from recycled wool and blended with recycled synthetic materials, including nylon and polyester for strength, and rayon for improved feel and drape.
Unlike many lined jackets, where the lining is sewn into the jacket after the outer shell is constructed, this model is made in one piece. To achieve this, the denim and blanket are placed on top of each other when cutting the pattern, and both fabrics are folded together when sewing.
