IHV-50-IND - 14oz Sashiko Dobby Cloth / Duck Work Vest - Indigo
This heavyweight, vintage-style work vest combines a 14oz Japanese dobby fabric front with a durable duck canvas back. The geometric weave, woven on a dobby loom from indigo crepe-dyed yarns, creates a highly textured, rugged face with far more exposed edges than a twill or plain weave. To give the vest a unique look, the yarns are soaked with green sulphur dye in the final stage of the dyeing process. This makes the fabric darker and gives it a distinctive colour tone that fades quickly in areas of heavy wear and emphasises the three-dimensional nature of the dobby weave.
